Feel free to discuss and share content about any game in the series from the original Ghost Recon to Frontline. Ubisoft surprised everyone earlier this month by announcing Ghost Recon Frontlinea. They’re doing it so they can hop on a trend and hopefully have some Live-Service monetizable game to make a bigger profit margin on because it’s something they could crank out. Ghost Recon Frontline is postponed indefinitely following the feedback received from the game's reveal trailer. Ubisoft isn’t our friend, they’re not doing this for our benefit. The way to keep the IP relevant, in my opinion, would have been to put their best foot forward making a game in the spirit of what got the series fans in the first places but with modern improvements.Ĥ: “You’ve been offered a gift, and you spit in its face”. If it’s mediocre it’s not going to help (see Halo 4 and 5 and Resident Evil titles before 7), and I doubt it’s going to bring in anyone new. Even so, just having a new game in a series doesn’t automatically help. If we’ve seen anything from the way that “actual” games get cannibalized by BR modes being integrated into them (Fortnite and MW19/Cold War being good examples) I don’t know how much I agree on that.
